Further to His Excellency Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s recent call for the global Ethiopian diaspora to contribute as little as $1-a-day to the transformation and development of a better Ethiopia, the Government of Ethiopia is proud to announce that the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has today officially opened a bank account to support the operation of the “Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund”. The Account has been launched with the express aim of connecting the global Ethiopian diaspora with their homeland by facilitating the secure collection of their financial contributions.
